- Subject: Swisshotel Berlin - Feedback
Hi Susan,
Clara Martin here, my mum informed me you would like some feedback on our stay in
Berlin.
The rooms were beautiful and spacious and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
The hotel was also situated in a great location, near to the station and main street
but away from the noise and traffic.
I would recommend it to other couples wanting a carefree start to their holiday
or travels. The tour bus package was also appreciated as Berlin is such a large
city, it allowed us to see the whole city and jump off and hop on where we wanted
all day.
Kind regards (from Roma now)
Clara
- Subject: Auctionair - Swissotel Howard
Hi Susan,
Can I just say what a wonderful stay we had at the Howard, the staff could
not do enough for you and what a surprise, we had Champagne, chocolates and
flowers in our room for our 35th Anniversary, complements of the hotel.
What else can I say, it could not have been any better. Thank you.
Best regards,
Ann & Terry

to our expectations. Many thanks for organising such a great trip and please pass
on our thanks to the Orient Express team.
Many thanks again.

- Subject: Safari
Hi Jill
My husband and I have just returned from the most wonderful safari in South Africa.
I would like to thank you, Nicky and the team for organising dates to suit us and
ensuring we had all the necessary information before we went.
The holiday, to Clifftop Lodge and Hamilton’s Camp, was absolutely fantastic. The
travel arrangements in South Africa ran like clockwork; there was always someone
to meet us and pick us up to ensure we reached our destinations on time.
Both lodges are really beautiful and the staff could not have been more helpful
and delightful. The food was of an excellent standard and the service was first
class. The game drives were awesome and we were really lucky to see so much wild
life, including elephant, lion, leopard, giraffe, buffalo ( a herd of approx 200!)
rhinoceros, zebra and so much more, as well as hundreds of beautiful birds.
We would not hesitate to book with you again, and indeed, wish we were still there!
Kind regards
Alison

Subject: Auctionair - Orient Express Day Excursion
Dear Susan,
A great day out with interesting destination. Local guides extremely
knowledgeable. The train was comfortable, service and food/wine excellent.
Good value for money and a most enjoyable experience. Strongly recommended.
We will happily bid again in the near future.

- Subject: Auctionair ID:- 62245 Sofitel Plaza De Espana, Madrid
Espana, Madrid, was simply superb! The staff were wonderful - very very
helpful, extremely polite and keen to ensure we had everything we needed.
The room was a delight and the standard of the hotel was faultless - the
most confortable hotel rooms I have ever stayed in bar none. I know this
may all sound a bit OTT but I assure you that my praise of the Sofitel in
Madrid is sincere and was honestly earned by everyone who works there.
We will certainly go back!
A great big thank you is also due to all of you at Auctionair. All the
arrangements were effortlessly made - including our last minute requests for
additional nights. Auctionair has been a joy to deal with and my wife and I
both wish you every success in the future. We shall certainly be bidding
again!
With best wishes to you all,
Victor

Subject: Re: Auctionair ID:- 24301 Mauritius and Wales
Hi there!
The trip to Mauritius was out of this world and the villa was amazing. The whole
experience was really set up by the staff at the Taj Exotic. I will definitely be
bidding to return again!
As for the weekend in wales, well another amazing adventure. The staff were awesome
and could not do enough to help out. As for coasteering, that's my new favourite
sport.
Thanks for the opportunity to give these breaks a go!
All the best,
Dave

Subject: Hamiltons
Hi Jill,
Hope you're well. I just wanted to drop you a quick note now that I'm back my holidays
and tell you of our experience at Clifftops and Hamiltons. First of all though I'd
like to thank you for all your organisational skills in arranging the various transfers
to/from hotel and airport - it all worked like clockwork and was a great help, so
thankyou very much indeed!
Moving on to our 4 days at Clifftops, all I can say is that our stay completely
exceeded our expectations. It was a truly unforgettable experience and Ryan and
his team could not do enough for you. The accomodation (including the setting) was
absolutely first class and the food was superb (which was very surprising considering
that we were in the middle of the bush!). We were obviously delighted with Clifftops
and could have happily spent all day relaxing at the lodge, but we also had the
thrill of two daily game drives to enjoy. These were always great fun and exciting
and the balance between searching for sightings and viewing the animals was just
right (if we saw everything on the first drive it'd be just like going to the zoo!).
Our only regret was that we couldn't spend more time there, and we'd definitely
look to return.
The transfer to Hamiltons was another fun, and unexpected, part of our visit. Travelling
in a 4-seater plane and landing on a dirt strip in the middle of Kruger was great
fun and definitely added to the sense of adventure. Hamiltons Tented lodge was also
first class - perhaps not up to the standard of Clifftops (which would be difficult
to achieve) but also very enjoyable. The difference in accomodation style coupled
with the very different terrain (and sightings) encountered at Clifftops was the
perfect accompaniment to the earlier safari.
I don't know if we were lucky in that both camps were quiet, or if the standard
of service is always this high but I'd definitely recommend both camps and am looking
forward to returning at some point in the future.
Lastly, many thanks again for all your help, and I lookf forward to bidding on (and
hopefully winning!) more lots with Auction-Air.
Thanks and regards,
Omar
- Subject: RE: Auctionair ID:- 424 The Pierre, New York
Dear Susan,
Thanks for the email.
The trip to New York was excellent and went like clockwork. A fax from Gordon Ramsey's
was awaiting us at our hotel on arrival welcoming us to NY and saying they were
looking forward to seeing us the next evening. At Ramsey's they told us they were
creating a special meal for us. We had 9 delicious courses!! We both had a wonderful
time.
Kind regards
Michael
- Subject: Re:- your staff
Dear Duncan,
Please excuse this E-mail, but as a good customer of your very excellent company,
I would like to make a few points that have occurred to me.
I have bought quite a few trips long haul and weekend, plus TVs etc etc. from you.
Jill Crawley has been absolutely magnificent in her organisation of trips, especially
the one she is in the process of organising for me at the present time. I don't
know if this happens, but I feel that all this organisation of complicated trips,
as is our trip to Nepal, which is part of a three city loop we are doing, would
be much easier for Jill and your staff to deal with if she/they visited the area
and met the people, say for instance in Nepal. To have face to face contact with
organisers makes life so much easier.
I hope you do not think I am interfering, it is not meant in that way, just a suggestion
for Auctionair.
Very best wishes and keep up the excellent work,
Regards
Jean
- Subject: RE: Auctionair ID:- 88034 Egypt Itinerary
Susan
We recently returned from Egypt and I am happy to confirm that all went very well.
In fact I have never been on such a well hosted and organised holiday. Sakkara were
fantastic and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone I know.
I also continue to mention Auction Air to friends. I certainly have faith after
our holiday.
There was one slight mix up. The itinerary you had sent us had a day missing! This
was no big deal as it only meant we missed the last night on the boat. Sakkara took
care of amending flights and there was no additional cost to us.
I look forward to using your web site again soon. When is the next auction!!
Kind regards,
Robbie

Hi Susan,
We had an excellent time thank you and would have no hesitation recommending the
Meridian. It really was first class, the service was good and the view from our
Crystal room was magnificent.
Only complaint that the flights and the weather were a bit disappointing but we
cannot control either of those!!
All in all an excellent weekend.
Many thanks and kind regards,

- Subject: REFERENCE FOR TAJ EXOTICA RESORT MALDIVES
Hello Jill,
Please feel free to use the following reference in your future promotions for the
Taj Exotica Resort:
"If you’ve ever wondered what it is like to be in a stunningly beautiful paradise
island then book yourself sometime with someone you love at the Taj Exotica Resort
and Spa in the Maldives. As an experienced international traveller I have visited
many wonderful places on this earth but none more inviting, restful and scenic than
Emboodhu Finoolu Island in the Indian Ocean. Our week long stay in this 5 star hotel
was marked by outstanding Maldivian service, excellent food in both the a la carte
restaurants (the Head Chef has worked at The Fat Duck in Bray and Le Manoir aux
quat’ Saison) and one of the best wine cellars I have come across. Find time also
to visit the relaxing Jiva Spa which is a haven of tranquillity and de-stressing
and if you love scuba diving then you are in for a great experience with Udo and
his team at the PADI dive centre."
Feel free to shorten it if you need to Jill.
Kind Regards,
Alan

"I can assure you I will be bidding again with Auctionair, as

- "It
was fabulous."
"As
promised, I’m writing to let you know how we got on at Kamalame.
In a word, it was fabulous.
There were only around 32 guests and dinner in the ‘grand house’ was a splendid occasion.
The cottage we stayed in was great with fantastic ocean views and they give
you a golf buggy to get around the private island. Next stop (courtesy of
Auctionair) is Helsinki…we are using the two BA Club Europe tickets we successfully
bid for to go there in July. After that (courtesy of Auctionair and Sharon’s good
offices) we are going to Dubai for Cheryl’s 50th and our silver wedding anniversary
in November. I guess I’ll need to bid for something for 2006 to keep my run going!"

- "...a
stunning experience..."
"All the travel
and transfer arrangements went like clockwork, the camp is just perfect,
the staff are fabulous, the game plentiful. Even more than the game drives, Rachel
and I enjoyed taking long walks in the bush accompanied by one
or more of the local warriors. I can't recommend the experience
highly enough.
"EWS may not be to everyone's taste
(showering from a bucket, 'long drop' loo's, simple (but very tasty) food), but
it was absolutely right for us and for the other Brits who were
in camp with us.
"Many thanks for all your help...
We had a great time. EWS was a stunning experience that
we will definitely repeat. "
Alan

- "...this was just the best ever!"
"Elephant Watch
Safari was just fantastic. On arrival at the air-strip we were met
by a lady called Sivenny who is one of the Trust Researchers and a Samburu called
Alex who was in all his finery to greet us. Both acted as our guides for the duration
of the stay. The camp was a real 'out of africa' experience in luxury. Very
spacious tents with open air bathroom facilities consisting of a 'long-drop' with
a seat lit by a tilley lamp all night and the shower was traditional bucket showers
which the tent staff filled whenever you wanted a shower. The food, service and ambience
was just perfect. The wild-life was abundant and in just the drive from
the air-strip to the camp we saw elephants, giraffe, buffalo, gazelles, wart-hogs
to name just a few and numerous birds. All the game drives were full of fun and
guests are looked after individually so it was always just my partner and
myself with Sivenny and Alex. Elephants are definitely king in that area and at
present EWS is studying 3 herds. Because of their knowledge of the herds it is possible
to approach them at very close quarters in fact one day we parked in a glade
alongside the river by the Biblical Herd and the matriach Babylon came up to the
vehicle and then leant against a tree to sleep whilst her family played around us.
Some of them even stretched their trunks out to 'sniff' us. It felt such a privilege
to be allowed to sit in the middle of a family of these magnificent animals... "
"I do hope that one day you get the chance to visit it - it really is a very special
camp... I have done many safaris and in fact have twice been to Abu's Elephant
Back Safari Camp in Botswana - but for me this was just the best ever!"
Madeliene Todd, UK

- "a memorable, once in a life time holiday"
"The Icehotel is
an incredible place with a very special feeling to it, everything worked like clockwork
with our pick ups and drop offs. Not only that but we had the luck to have been
given the underwater ice suite which was fantastic and probably my favourite one
there. There is a special glow to the area and this was not just from my cheeks
after too long in the Ice bar!! Once again thank you for turning a holiday into
a memorable, once in a life time holiday"

"The trip was superb value for money"
"I was a little nervous about how everything would
work when my bid was successful for the trip to the Sofitel Bologna but I would
not hesitate to bid again for other lots that appealed to me. A nice hotel, well
located for transport and entertainment. The hotel staff were superb and made the
trip very enjoyable for my husband and I. The pre-trip organisation was excellent
and the warm welcome we received really made us feel special. The trip was superb
value for money and has spurred us to book a return trip later this year. Thank
you for all your support in organising this trip for us."

the best holidays and new 'toys', ...available for a great price... Who could resist?"
"I surprised myself
by being a successful bidder for a new iMac in November 2003. There was, unfortunately,
a small delay from Apple in supplying the computer, which was no fault of Auctionair.
All the team at Auctionair couldn't have been more helpful, on the numerous times
I phoned and e-mailed them. They kept me up to date with all progress, argued on
my behalf, and were always happy and pleasant. I would certainly bid for items again.

"I shall... encourage as many friends as I can"
"I would like to compliment all at Auctionair Limited on their
smooth, competent, friendly and considerate
handling of my successful bid for, and the subsequent delivery of, the PlayStation
2.
You kindly phoned me to inform me
of my successful bid. You then phoned again to ensure the item had been delivered
(it was my son William's Xmas present from Father Christmas). The games were/are
much appreciated by William, who thinks Father Christmas a rather clever fellow
to choose such exciting games.
I bid for a number of items, feeling
that were I to be unsuccessful, the money would go to charity, which is a good idea.
I shall continue to support you and encourage as many friends
as I can to join me by simply telling them that your organisation is
not only helping others less fortunate, but also a pleasure to deal with.
Very many thanks from me and also

I was absolutely delighted to get your call today telling me I was successful
in bidding for the new Apple 30GB iPod, (which my husband had coveted for some time).
Not only have you helped me put a smile back on his face since suffering a serious

definitely be bidding again! Thank You, Auction-air!

Subject: Bobsleigh trip
Dear Jill Hi and a Happy New Year to you! Just to
say that we are back from our trip to Innsbruck where we had a wonderful time with
the British Bobsleigh team. The Hotel was very nice and in an excellent location
,we were given a large room on the 3rd floor with excellent views and the family
that owned the hotel were first class and looked after everyone very well indeed.
It was great to be part of the team for the few days we were there
and that how we felt - everyone in the Bobsleigh team made us extremely welcome,
we enjoyed the actual championships on the Friday and Saturday it was really interesting
seeing all the different aspects of Bobsleighing. The most exciting part for me
was, of course, my run in the 4 man bob down the course! All the build up
- will I wont I was finally converted into the thrill of a lifetime in a trip down
the course in under a minute! Wow it was fantastic far better than I expected -
I was lucky to given the opportunity of a second run ,which although bumpier was
equally thrilling. I now have a personal best time of 58.59 seconds on the Innsbruck
track and have photos and lots of memories to share with my family and friends over
the next couple of weeks. I will be following and supporting our team in their Olympic
challenge.
Thanks for everything and also making it possible.
There were some major sponsors at this event but it was really good to
hear Gordon mention Auctionair at the winners podium after the first day.
