- Delivery.
- Any items of a personal nature or any additional services other than those offered by Small Luxury Hotels of the World and outlined in their terms and conditions.
- Flights or transfers.
- Insurances.
- The gift certificate cannot be exchanged for cash, nor will any change be given.
- Cancellation fees may be applicable if a reservation is made, confirmed and later cancelled.
- We strongly recommend that all our customers take out comprehensive insurance prior to embarking on any travel.
All Small Luxury Hotels of the World's Terms and Conditions apply. They are as follows:
"- Gift Certificates are issued by Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ whose head office is at Grantham House, North Street, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 7AX. United Kingdom ("we" or "us").
- Gift Certificates may only be used for whole or part payment for room bookings in any of our 'member hotels' (each a "Hotel").
- Gift Certificates are redeemable subject to availability.
- A 'member hotel' is defined as any hotel, that is featured on www.slh.com as being a member hotel, at the time of redeeming the Gift Certificate.
- All room bookings exchanged for Gift Certificates must be pre-booked [online at
www.slh.com].
- The Gift Certificates must be presented upon check-in at the Hotel prior to any services being used.
- Gift Certificates may not be exchanged wholly or partially for cash [ nor will any change be given].
- Gift Certificates are valid for 15 months from the date of issue and may not be redeemed beyond that period.
- Gift Certificates may be issued in a number of different foreign currencies. If the currency of a Gift Certificate is different to the currency of the redeeming Hotel then the Gift Certificate will be converted into the local currency value at the redeeming Hotel's foreign exchange rate current at the time of redemption.
- We cannot accept responsibility for the loss or theft of Gift Certificates. Gift Certificates are not replaceable if lost, destroyed, stolen or expired and are void if altered, photocopied or reproduced.
- Your use of Gift Certificates at certain destinations may be subject to government approvals, regulations, restrictions and applicable taxes of the respective destination.
- If your use of Gift Certificates raises any tax liability on you, including disclosure, then such liability is your sole responsibility.
- Gift Certificates are only valid when displaying a voucher number, hologram and date stamp.
- Member hotels will require a credit card deposit when taking a booking for accommodation
- Small Luxury Hotels of the World reserves the right not to accept damaged or defaced certificates
- Small Luxury Hotels of the World reserves the right to change these conditions without notice.
- We dislaim, to the fullest extent permissible by law, all liability for losses, damages and costs whatsoever, (whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise), arising either directly or indirectly from the purchase and use of gift certificates by you, including without limitation any acts or omissions by our member hotels, whether those losses, claims or damages result from our negligence or otherwise.
- We do not exclude our liability to you for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; or (b) fraudulent misrepresentation by us.
- You must make sure that all the information you provide to us when you purchase Gift Certificates is true and accurate.
- Please be aware that failure to supply the correct credit or debit card billing address information and/or cardholder details may result in delays to the issue of your Gift Certificates. Please ensure that the details you give match those on your credit card billing statement.
- We reserve the right to cancel Gift Certificates after issue if payment is declined or incorrect cardholder details and billing information have been supplied.
- In an effort to minimise the effects of credit card fraud, we reserve the right to carry out random checks and may request you to either fax or post to us proof of your address and a copy of the credit card and recent statement before issuing any Gift Certificates.
- These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your purchase and use of Gift Certificates which means that you will not be able to claim that we have made any representations or warranties other than contained in these Terms and Conditions. However, we will always be liable to you if we make a fraudulent statement to you.
- Please note that additional terms and conditions apply to any services which you purchase or have purchased from us or any third parties (including Hotels) using Gift Certificates.
- These Terms and Conditions (and any dispute, controversy, proceedings or claim of whatever nature arising out of or in any way relating to these Terms and Conditions) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. You irrevocably agree that only the courts of England shall hear and decide any suit, action or proceedings, and/or to settle any disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions. You may therefore not bring any actions against us in a court outside England."
